Q:

Where and when do you hold your classes?

A:

Everywhere and anytime! We come to you. We teach most of our classes in homes, churches, offices and backyards. All we need from you is enough space to teach the class. We come with our own gear and mats. On occasion, we also teach community classes that are open to the female public. What can I expect?

A:

CLASS PREPAREDNESS/ RULES
1. Wear comfortable clothing that you can move in.
2. Wear tennis shoes. We train wearing shoes.
3. Arrive to class 10 minutes early. We start all classes on time.
4. You must be a female at least 15 years of age.
5. THIS CLASS IS FOR WOMEN ONLY.

This is a closed class. Men may not audit this class.
No exceptions.

Q:

How long is each class?

A:

About 2 and a half hours.

Q:

I have an injury. Can I still participate?

A:

Yes! We handle all types of injuries on a regular basis. Athletic injuries like “back” and “joints” are easy to work around. If you have extensive injuries, it is best to call ahead so that we can discuss if you need to wait to take the class until the healing process is over.

Q: Do you give lectures?
A: Yes! We do a lot of public speaking. If you are interested in have us come and speak about Self Defense or Safety, please call us at (818) 892-7929 or email Anni at anni@protectys.com  
Q: I’m a senior citizen. Can I participate?
A: Yes! Some of our best students are over the age of 65. Our classes do not require great physical strength or stamina. Women of all ages (over the age of 15) are welcomed and encouraged. 
Q: I haven’t exercised in a long time. I am afraid that I might be too out of shape to participate.
A: None of our classes require great strength or stamina. No matter your level of physical fitness, you can still defend yourself!
Q: I’m not sure that one class is enough for me to learn how to defend myself. Will I only need to take the class once?
A: After the class, you will definitely walk away with a new found confidence and a real grasp of the principles of self defense. However, we believe that practice makes perfect. We recommend you practice the techniques on your own, and take a refresher course every three to six months.
Q: Can you come to my church or office to teach a class?
A:

We travel for group classes if an appropriate space is available. We must know the square footage of the class in advance. The class requires a certain amount of space for participants to get the full benefits. If the space you have does not meet our requirements we can split participants into two separate two hour classes. If you book a class and then find that your group is unable to attend, please call to cancel your reservation within 48 hours or you will be charged in full for the class.

Q: I'm worried about a home invasion. What can I do to feel more secure?
A:

We would recommend that you first, take a self defense class! Second, look into a Home Security System. We are authorized dealers with Counterforce USA and we can come to your home to access your level of vulnerability to see if a Home Security System is right for you. www.counterforce.com
